Fees
The fees of Milieukeur consist of a one-off registration fee for new companies under certification and annual contributions. The registration costs are charged to the certificate holder by the certification body. The annual turnover is requested by the certification body, after which SMK invoices the annual contribution.
These rates do not include the costs that the certification bodies charge to holders of the quality label for audit and certification.
Remittances
SMK manages the eco-label and is an independent non-profit foundation. In order to finance its activities, SMK charges its members fees. These include the development and management of the certification schemes, information, and research.
